Hello friends! Thanks so much for stopping by my stop on the Altenew July Stencil/Enamel Dots release blog hop! Isn't it amazing what stencils can do? This card, aside from the sentiment, is completely made from stencils. Altenew's brand new stencils create beautiful, lifelike scenery for your cards and paper craft projects. This card took about 10 minute to create start to finish and is perfect for any occasion depending on the sentiment you choose. Scenery cards are also a great masculine card alternative if you have trouble creating those, like I do. 

For the trees, I used colors Mountain Pine, Green Field and Firefly. I was able to flip the stencil front to back to create different shapes and interesting lines with the trees. For the clouds I first put a light base of yellow down so that the clouds would appear to be showing sunshine through them. I then used the cloud stencil in different orientations with Ocean Waves dye ink to create these super realistic and beautiful clouds. I think my favorite piece of this release is this cloud die. Absolutely a must have!

Hello friends! Welcome to today's Summer of Stamping hop for Ellen Hutson! Today we have some gorgeous sets to share with you and I know you'll fall for them just as much as I have. These sets are perfect for any occasion, especially just a Summer hello which I know I'll be sending lots of! Let's jump right into my project!

I am often at a loss when it comes to flower centers. This was admittedly a bit of a cop out for me here. I know that Pansies often have black centers, so I decided to color the entire center black. Looking back, this could have been done more gracefully, but I don't hate it. It definitely gives a more loosely watercolored look than I am used to, but I think it still gets the point across.

For my sentiment, I used one of the sub sentiments from the Thank You For Being A Friend set. I love that it can be used with the main sentiment or on it's own like I used it here. I placed the watercolored image on a gray colored card base and embellished it with some gold sequins to add a little sparkle.

Altenew is introducing Primrose to it's family of gorgeous build-a-flower sets and I'm excited to be part of the inspiration blog hop! You guys know that I love when sets come with both layered and outline stamps. I decided to use the outline stamps for my project today and create no-line colored flowers to bring the images to life. I used Altenew's Artist Markers to create depth with shadows and highlights giving a realistic looks to the florals.

To help highlight the flowers and sentiment, I used one of the frames from the Framed stamp and die set also from Altenew. I love this set to help place focus on highlighted images while adding a little interest itself.

This one, while clearly geared towards a baby girl, could easily be changed up to blue, gray, or green for a more masculine or neutral look!

The first project I'm sharing features the totally gorgeous Thoughtful Flowers stamp set. I'm always head over heels for the florals from Simon Says Stamp and this is no exception. I can't be totally sure what each flower is in the set (mostly because I am whatever the opposite of a green thumb is) but they look like versions of wildflowers to me and wildflowers always remind me of a spring field, so I wanted to be sure to represent that feeling on my card.

No-line watercoloring is often my favorite way to color in florals. I used the Altenew 24 Artist Watercolor Palette with yellows, pinks, purples, and a deep sea green to liven up the image. I love that the stamp set also comes with several butterfly images to add to scenes. It adds life and a chance to add another splash of color as well. I decided to put it on a black card base to play on the black sentiment strips on the card. I love that it looks like a page out of a storybook and tells a story in itself.

Let's bring it back to the Thoughtful Flowers set for just a moment because, well, cause I just can't get enough. This time I embossed them in gold, colored them with bright, bold colors, and then created a dark background by using a dark Copic marker to outline and color in the entirety of white space left over after stamping the flowers.

Finally, I have this sparkly number using the same Scallop Border dies from before, but this time with a more monotone effect. I simply adhered the die cuts to Lawn Fawn's (incredible) glitter card stock which created this intricate look.

 I also paired it with the new CZ designs set Happy Days, which so perfectly fits into the bold and clean design that I love so much from Cathy. There's tons of fun sayings and fonts in this set and a great one to have on hand for any occasion!

Hello Altenew and Pinkfresh Studio lovers! This is such an exciting day because two of my favorite companies are teaming up to bring you one beautiful collaboration collection. Altenew and Pinkfresh have both just celebrated anniversaries and they're commemorating the event together with stamp sets, dies, a patterned paper pad and gorgeous ephemera. This blog hop will give you tons of inspiration on ways to use these products on your projects and there are prizes galore. Let's just get right into it!

I'm sharing this simple but bold card featuring the Celebrate Us stamp set from the collection. This set features a beautiful outline and layered stamp flower for the option to color in using your favorite medium, or use the layered stamps to create a dimensional design. For my project, I decided to use the layered stamps and create two images by repeat stamping each of the stamps. Using your MISTI or stamp positioning tool can help easily create several images. 

To keep the simple design but add a little interest, I paired this set with the Altenew Framed Stamp Set. The dies for the Celebrate Us set come with a beautifully scripted word 'thankful', both the word and shadow die which I used here.

Hey there! I'm so glad you could join us today on the inspirational blog hop for the newest Paint-A-Flower addition; Daffodil. This is the perfect spring/early summer floral to add to your projects and with two image options included in the set, there are so many possibilities for design!

I created a simple card with the stemming daffodils and used a no-line coloring technique to bring them to life. Using Altenew's Artist Markers, I colored in the image making sure to add a mix of  shadows and highlights to achieve a dimensional look. To add little more softness I went over the image with coordinating colors of colored pencils. I love the velvety look that adding colored pencil gives to floral images especially.
